It’s never to early for a shot when it’s packed with such a high concentration of nutrients as wheatgrass is. We love our wheatgrass because although green it has a fresh sweet minty aftertaste. How to drink wheatgrass and actually enjoy it? 1. Understand the benefits 2. Be willing to make the investment. Being aware of the investment we’ve found it easier to justify the commitment especially when the cost for a shot of alcohol outweighs this and is with incomparable nutritional benefits... which brings us to our third point 3. Make it a part of your self care. Self love also means taking interest in what and how we feed ourselves. #nutrition #wheatgrass #juicing #feedyourcells #greenjuice #organic #smallbatch #fromseedtotable #eatmoreplants #wholefoodsdiet #cleaneating #feedfeed
Your pets deserve to be fed well also! Do you ever notice a dog eating grass? They do this for a number of reasons and one is as a response to fulfill a nutritional requirement or simply because they enjoy it. These is wheatgrass pulp, still moist with wheatgrass juice and either it’s yummy or fulfilling a nutritional requirement or both cause she can’t have enough. #doglovers #nutrition #life #love #pet #dog #wheatgrass #juicing
Cheers to the new week! A nutrient dense shot of goodness for every day of it. Available today. #juicing #feedyourcells #love
“WHAT IS AQUAPONICS? It’s a system that combines aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (growing plants in water) in an mutually beneficial environment. The fish excretion is broken down by nitrogen fixation, which provides nutrients essential to plant growth. This process serves as a natural fertilizer for the plants. In return, the plants help purify the water for the fish. Up to 98 percent of the water is recycled in this system. 1. WHAT IS AMMONIA? Ammonia, a compound with a chemical formula NH3, is an important chemical that determines your aquaponic system’s survival. 2. WHAT IS AMMONIA’S ROLE IN THE AQUAPONIC SYSTEM? Ammonia is the chemical essential for the nitrogen cycle and is first produced when the organism’s bacteria in the intestines breaks down the protein from the food source. Ammonia is then converted to nitrite, NO2-, another form of nitrogen found in the nitrogen cycle. This process is known as the first step nitrification, conducted by a type of nitrifying bacteria, nitrosomonas. Nitrite is then converted to nitrate, NO3-, in the second-step nitrification by another type of nitrifying bacteria, nitrobacter. Nitrate is the form of nitrogen that can be used up by plants for growth and survival.” ProjectFeed1010 #aquaponics #farmtotable #tilapia #fish #organic #sustainable #foodie #local #womenwhofarm #vegetables #eddiblegarden #garden #growyourfood #trinidad #feedfeed

A shot from last weekends harvest. Pretty much the other fish ready for harvest look like this, size wise. We’ve got some red and white, and this is the Silver Tilapia. They are our fish. We feed and care for daily and they form the basis for the organic nutrients for the plants we grow in our aquaponics. We’re harvesting again this Saturday so naturally are purging them in preparation for some yummy cooking and eating. #aquaponics #farmtotable #local #foodie
